Everything you need to know about Diesel Exhaust Fluid
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is an additive that is necessary to lower high levels of Nitric Oxide (NOx) to produce lower emissions. The fluid is made of a mixture of urea and deionized water, a reductant of NOx. Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a requirement for all medium and heavy duty vehicles with diesel engines made after 2010. The EPA implemented this requirement in 2007 when it changed emission requirements for all over-the-road trucks. To put it into perspective, 1 gallon of DEF is used per 1000 miles.
Jubitz offers many locations to fuel up on DEF at our CFN and Pacific Pride locations. Our flagship location, Jubitz Travel Center, is our biggest DEF location with 9 pumps. Additional locations are located around the Portland Metro area and SW Washington.
Our dedicated Mobile Fueling team delivers Diesel Exhaust Fluid in bulk for bigger job site needs. We can deliver 100-5,000 gallons of DEF in just one truckload. With often next-day DEF delivery, our Fleet Management team has become Portland’s leading leading fueling company with over 30 years of fleet management experience.
