General FAQs

Where is the Ponderosa located?

The Ponderosa is located at the Jubitz Travel Center in North Portland at 10350 N Vancouver Way, Portland.

Where do I park?

There is free parking at the Jubitz Travel Center (10350 N Vancouver Way, Portland) for all Ponderosa guests. Parking is limited, so it is advised to arrive early on major event nights. Overflow parking and street parking are available during major concerts – directions to available parking will be provided upon arrival.

Are minors allowed in the Ponderosa?

Generally, no. All shows at the Ponderosa are 21+. If you’ve booked the entire Ponderosa for a private event closed to the public, minors may be permitted. Please contact us to book a private event.

What forms of ID are accepted at the Ponderosa?

Oregon law says the only forms of identification we may legally accept as proof of age are: a valid state driver’s license with photo, Oregon DMV ID card, passport, U.S. military or state issued ID card with photo, name, address, date of birth, physical description and signature.  No foreign driver’s license will be permitted. If you are visiting the Ponderosa from another country, present a valid passport for entry.
Please remember, regardless of age, you will be asked for valid identification to enter the Ponderosa.

Can I eat at the concert?

Yes! We offer our full menu for the Ponderosa/Cascade Grill to guests during a concert. At SOLD OUT SHOWS we only offer GA guests our basket concert menu and our VIP Lounge guests the full menu. If a GA guest at a SOLD OUT show would like to eat from the full menu, you are welcome to eat at the Cascade Grill prior to entering the Ponderosa.

Can I take food & beverages into the Ponderosa?

No outside food or beverages is permitted in the Ponderosa.

Am I allowed to exit the Ponderosa and re-enter during concerts?

For all Pondo Presents concerts, re-entry is not permitted.

How can I be notified of new shows?

Sign up for our email list here to receive our weekly email blast that features our just announced shows, upcoming events & more! We also recommend following us on social media (Facebook , Instagram and Twitter) to stay informed on all our happenings.

Are line dance lessons free?

Yes! Line dance lessons are free with applicable cover charge at 7 pm when there is entertainment. Thursday’s Line Dancin’ Ladies night does not have a no cover charge. Check the dance lesson schedule here for more information.

Can I just drop by?

Of course! The Ponderosa is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the evenings, if there is a cover charge, you are able to pay that at the door unless the event is sold out. We generally have different entertainment every night, so you may want to check the event calendar to see which nights you’re most excited about.

Are there any hotels nearby?

We recommend the Jubitz on-site hotel, the Portlander Inn. A stay at the Portlander Inn is steps away, affordable and means you take the elevator home. The next morning, enjoy breakfast at the Cascade Grill or at the Ponderosa.

TICKETS

What’s the difference between VIP and General Admission tickets?

With a VIP ticket, you receive priority entrance into the Ponderosa. Skip the General Admission line and start your night faster. It doesn’t stop there though – VIP ticket holders sit in our elevated VIP Lounge which gives you the best view for the night. You also receive guaranteed reserved seating which means you will always have a seat to go back to after busting some moves on the dance floor!

I am planning a group event; how can I make my reservations?

If you’re a group of 50 or more, you can opt to rent out the entire VIP Lounge (seats up to 70 guests). If you’re a group of 100 or more, you can rent the entire Ponderosa. For all rental inquiries please email our Banquets Manager. If you’re a smaller group, purchase your VIP tickets in one transaction or under one name to ensure that your seats and/or tables are adjacent to each other.

Are there reservations available for General Admission tickets?

Seats in the General Admission area are available on a first come first serve basis. We cannot guarantee you will have seats together if you purchase General Admission seats. The VIP Lounge is available for reservations. General Admission may be standing room only depending on the show.

Help! Tickets are no longer available online. Can I still get tickets at the door?

Yes, online ticket sales close at 4:00PM PST on the day of the show. Unless the show is marked sold out, tickets will be available at the door. To guarantee your ticket(s), we do recommend purchasing your ticket(s) in advance on Eventbrite.

Can I purchase tickets in person in advance?

All concert tickets can be purchased in person in advance at the Ponderosa.

PERFORMANCES

Will I like every artist that plays at the Ponderosa?

The Ponderosa is open to many genres of music and some music may or may not be your taste. If you’re concerned, we recommend listening to some of their songs on YouTube or Spotify or checking out their website prior to the show. Please note, the Ponderosa plays no role in choosing an artist’s set list.

My band and/or I want to play at the Ponderosa, who should I contact?

Please fill out our band inquiry form and if you and your band are a fit for the Ponderosa, someone will be in touch.
